S3E4- Drugs, Devils, and Diaries: Go Ask Alice, Unmasked with Rick Emerson

The 1973 book Go Ask Alice was the iconic "actual" diary of a 15 year-old drug user. Allegedly. It was a school book fair darling for decades, while also regularly making the banned book list. But it turns out that Alice's story is much more sinister than anyone in GenX initially understood. Melinda and Conrad are joined by Rick Emerson, author of "Unmask Alice: LSD, Satanic Panic, and the Imposter Behind the World's Most Notorious Diaries" to discuss this unbelievable story.
